Ingredients:

 

2-184 grams Century Tuna Chunks in Vegetable Oil, drained

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup finely chopped onions

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 eggs

1/4 cup Cream All-Purpose Flour

4 slices cheese singles (3/4 ounce or 3 1/2-inch square per

slice)

1 can Century Tuna Meatloaf, cut into thick strips

1/4 cup Cream All-Purpose Flour

cooking oil for frying

 

Creamy Mushroom Sauce:

2 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup finely chopped celery stalks

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/4 cup Angel Evaporated Filled Milk

1/4 cup chicken stock or water

2 tablespoons finely chopped celery leaves

 

 

Procedure:

 

Mix together in a bowl the tuna, breadcrumbs, onions, salt, pepper and eggs. Divide mixture into two then pat each portion on an oiled aluminum foil, forming a rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick. Lay 2 slices of cheese and two strips of tuna meat loaf on each portion of tuna. Roll tightly. Wrap using the same foil. Chill for at least 1 hour.

Unwrapped tuna rolls then dredge in flour. Deep fry in hot oil until golden on all sides. Serve with Creamy Mushroom Sauce.

To make the sauce: Heat butter in a Tefal sauce pan. Sauté celery stalks then add cream of mushroom soup, milk and water. Allow to simmer for a bout 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in celery leaves then remove from heat. Serve with Tuna Cordon Bleu.

 

Makes 5 to 6 servings.

 

Approximate time of preparation: 30 minutes + 1 hour for chilling
